Okay, so I’m in trouble. Big trouble. I’m broke. Worse, my boyfriend of five years just dumped me.
What do I do? I move in with my three eccentric aunts in their family home, Davenport House. Sounds exciting, only this massive farmhouse likes to eat men. If I were a regular human, I would have run out screaming like a banshee. As a witch—I do absolutely nothing. Hey, maybe they deserved it?
I’m back in Hollow Cove, the flamboyant paranormal community, where nymphs, werewolves, trolls, shifters, witches, and other paranormals live comfortable lives away from prying human eyes. As I settle into my new life, I decide to accept my aunts’ proposal and join the family business—the business of protecting our town and killing anything that would want to harm it[more...]
Personal Review: Down on her luck, our protagonist is moving back to her old stomping grounds, with her tail caught in between her legs. Being dumped and left broke, often leaves you that way. Back in a town where magic steams up from its sometimes, too magical pores, our protagonist is trapped in memories of her mother's absence and is left to face her aunts who are willing to give her a job she believes she can't handle, one of magic and witchery. Unfortunately she barely knows how to use her magic, and thus ensues a wild story of angry, but extremely hot wolf men, and murderous creeps, hell bent of putting her and her family out of a job. This was a fun read, with a protagonist that sometimes didn't act her age, but was extremely self aware of it, and her flaws. It makes her behavior more tolerable. Its an interesting start to a series with a foreshadowing of an enemies to lovers romance. This makes the list, because who doesn't love a chaotic, yet studious witch. Jump into this one, where the town is just as kooky as its residents.

Taking multiple lovers is a family tradition. Hell, it's a witch tradition, but Charice Brixton isn't having it. She doesn't have time for a man, let alone two powerful warlocks. She's perfectly fine running her magic shop in Kala West, Florida with her sisters.
Until she's forced to attend the Firewick Festival, a biannual gathering with stuffy board members overseeing the match of witches and warlocks in hopes of creating the perfect triad. Magical speed dating at its finest. Charice would rather have a root canal. She's willing to use her powers to keep from going, even if it means the wrath of those in charge. That is until two hotter-than-hell men walk into her shop and alter her plans[more...]
Personal Review: Charice Brixton is a hard working witch. Running her shop is a full time job for her, and it doesn't leave time for much else, for example, lets say, two hot alpha warlocks, who may or may not be eager to have her. Called to follow tradition, Charice tries to escape the inescapable, unfortunately for her, destiny has a way of winning. This was a fast paced and short read, but no less pleasurable. It's one of those reads you indulge in, when your spending an hour by the pool, or on a too long trip to that special store, that's way too expensive, and far away from your home to continue shopping at. It's a quick, but loveable read that'll leave you cheering for this magical protagonist, who is strong in ways she's never known. and who finds luck in some extremely, handsome men. Get into this short story, where the witch
is hot and the warlocks, think she's hotter!

Nestled between Little St. Simons Island and Jekyll Island, Salix Pointe is not a place that many people know of. As a part of the Golden Isles of Georgia, it’s never mentioned because of all the Weeping Willows that grow there. The surrounding town’s folk call it the Island of Death.
Elisa Hunte never let the old suspicions bother her. Yeah, there had been some strange things that had happened in the town like floating objects and people disappearing in the night, but that happened everywhere, didn’t it? Even though every night, she dreamed of the same faceless man who did things to her body that were carnal sins, she knew most of the talk about Salix Pointe was just old folklore. Elisa also knew that she was different. She seemed to sense things before they happened. That was just good ole instinct, right?
Tasmin Pettiford was a city girl through and through. She hated the country, particularly Salix Pointe. If it wasn’t for the fact that her favorite aunt had recently passed[more...]
Personal Review: Two very different woman, find themselves in a very similar situation, where their both dealing with demons and angels, and skeezy white men, that are much more than what they seem. In the midst of that, the two women find themselves wielding unimaginable powers, working out, for themselves9-with a lot of help-that their witches. This is a read that tells history as a fantastical tale, giving real influential black people, a back story that's crafted beautifully and magically. I really liked this book. It held each characters in high esteem, giving each one time to shine. I also liked the display of fictional history, mixed in smoothly with non fictional history. The chemistry between the two women, as they learned and grew to understand what they were, was honestly the more beautiful part for me, as well as the enemies to lovers bit, that was added. This is a story that takes witches through a history, one of struggle, then inevitable freedom. Dive into this well-written book, where history is told through magic.

All my life the only kind of magic I’d ever seen was the sparkling jewels on fifth avenue. On the night of my sixteenth birthday all hell breaks loose, and by hell I mean me! I never felt power like this, so dark, so tempting, so out of my control! No one is safe around me. And now I’m being thrown into Warwick Academy.
An academy for the darker side of magic. . .the warlock side.
My captor, my savior, and the bane of my existence, Beckett Dust[more...]
Personal Review: This was a cute YA read. The protagonist is living it up for her 16th
birthday, until she's not and instead finds herself bound and kidnapped. She is then told that she's a magic wielding warlock. Shipped off to an academy, where everyone else, other than her, seems to have a handle on their gifts, she's stuck with explosive and uber powerful abelites. To make matters worse, she has the hots for the guy who stole her away from all she's known. Bitter and scared, this witchy protagonist also has a magical community to save. This was a cute and entertaining read. It's based on a wider universe, which makes it all the more interesting. The story unfolds smoothly, with humor and teenage angst. Dive into this one, where this pouting protagonist is much more warlock than the most of the boys!

Her words have power. If only she could speak.
Zoe’s shy. Like really shy. Even simple conversations with her best friend, Becca, can have her lost in her head, worrying about all the things she might have said or done wrong. But there’s this part of Zoe that’s as ferocious as a tiger, this part that paces in frustration whenever Zoe gets quiet, and urges her to do things that push her out of her comfort zone - her very small comfort zone.
The tiger gets its way when Zoe meets Noah at her favorite bar, because Zoe is so not comfortable[more...]
Personal Review: A good read. Sweet and exciting. Our protagonists has major social anxiety, so she's mostly thankful that she's often overlooked, especially in
comparison to her hot best friend. But that changes, when a man too hot for her to handle, see's her for who she is. The story started out so relatable for someone who has a severe case of social anxiety. I think lots of people want to be able to say how
they feel, with a fierceness and a sureness behind every word. It was truly a fun read albeit, it get a little darker as the story progresses, with a spooky detail that makes a perfect witch story. Trust me, its definitely worth a look into this one, where speaking and being heard counts, ten times more!

Summer Magic is a paranormal romance and sits firmly within the enemies-to-lovers trope, featuring lots of zany characters and hijinks. Due to adult themes, this book is not recommended for anyone under the age of 18. Heat and language level could make the tips of your ears a little pink in public; a solid level 4.
Life in a small town can be tough. It can be even tougher when you're a witch whose magic regularly backfires. But Summer Thorne only wants one thing: to create the perfect sanctuary for unwanted animals. Nothing and no one is going to stop her. Not even the sexy sheriff who is determined to shut down her rescue center. And certainly not the laboratory where she illegally obtained her mischievous chimpanzee, Morty.
Sheriff Cooper Carlyle has one goal: to keep his town safe[more...]
Personal Review: This was a very funny and lighthearted read. One filled with moments
of sweetness and spice, and everything magically nice. Summer has been pining for a man who barely looks her way, for the past 15 years. Despite not being able
to get over her childhood crush, Summer has tried to hold her head high and keep moving forward, but its hard, since she's forced to ignore the man she loves for her own self preservation. He had already trampled all over her heart before, she didn't need it happening again. But due to an elephant in a pool, Summer finds herself face to face, more often than not with the man of her dreams, and suddenly and quite literally, magic flies. The protagonist is impossibly cute, with a sweetness, that makes you want to reach into the pages and give her a hug. She isn't very confident in her magical skills, so wielding magic isn't one of her strong points, but it seems that loving a jerk of a sheriff is. Such an entertainingly, loving read, filled with a cutesy, romantic story, and hot witch filled sex.

I suck at witchcraft.
Coming from a long line of famous witches, I should be at the top of the heap. Problem is, if there’s a spell cast anywhere near me, I‘ll somehow mess it up. As a probationary agent with the Arcane Bureau of Investigation, I have two choices: I can limp along and maybe pass myself off as a competent agent, or I can die.

Personal Review: Wren's a witch that can't do magic, and not only that, but those that do magic around her tend to explode. With an unlawful spell needed, she turns to a sly criminal for help, only to find her self the one suffering for crimes she technically didn't even commit. Boy was this a fun one. There's a quirky, but insanely sweet, and good-hearted witch, at the helm of this story, and we cant forget about her hot werewolf love interest, who also happens to believe that our witchy protagonist, has casted a love spell on him. This alone makes for a great, and surprisingly angst-filled, adult read. Its a story filled with romance, and a heaping amount of mystery, and a pinch of kidnappings and fatal encounters. The romance takes front hold of the story, and it'll have you giggling beneath your sheets. Still the romance, doesn't take away the badassery of this sweet protag. whose serving time at a boot camp, and is heavily prone to danger, and danger doesn't take long to find her at all! Dip into this interesting read, where a wolf tries to break the hold a goodie-too-shoes, witch, has on him.

In the dark underworld, they know her as Red, a witch trained as a demon hunter, where she came from is a mystery.

The trail leads to undead mogul Kristoff who seems to know her better than she knows herself. Sexy and dangerous, he is more than her prime suspect[more...]
Personal Review: A woman has landed herself into a hospital bed, but doesn't know
how she got there, or much of anything else that happened before that, or any part of her life really. Now she's a hunter and a sidekick, as well as a struggling witch, with some minor ptsd. Now this read was enjoyable, and made the list because of its unique concept, and the mystery it held. I mean its a story about an amnesiac witch, with faded vampire bites, and sexy dreams, to show for the life she may have led. It was an awesome read that I dove into head first. But unfortunately, it went unfinished, mostly because I realized that it was going to be an inevitable love triangle, and my heart could not take, "the would they, won't they," and the disappointment when I choose the wrong love interest to invest in. No. Just NO. It's a pride thing readers...sue me!! Though, from what I've read, I know that is still a fantastic opening to a great series, one filled with murder cases and feuding men, vying for the protagonist's attentions. So don't before afraid to dive into this story, one filled with a amnesic, badass witch, named Red.

Angus Donohue doesn't want to be a warlock.
He believes draining demons for magic is evil, but it's a dangerous opinion to have--his father is a powerful and well-connected warlock, and Angus is expected to follow the family tradition. His only way out is to fail the demon summoning class. Failure means expulsion from the Warlock College. Despite Angus's best efforts to fumble the summoning, it works. Although not the way anyone expects.
Angus's demon, Saka, is a powerful mage with his own need for a warlock. Saka wants to use Angus in a ritual to rebalance the magic that is being stripped from Demonside by warlocks[more...]
Personal Review: Demons and warlocks, and a forbidden love story, what more can
go wrong?!? What more can go right! This was a fun read. And although I never finished it, since it was an in-between books kind of read. You know the kind, where you need some sort of filler read, while you impatiently wait for your favorite author to drop the book you've been waiting for, and its coming out the next day but your too excited and need a quick distraction....Well this was kind of like that for me. It's a book filled with magic and mystery , as well as lies and treachery. It was interesting from the very beginning, jumping headfirst into the demon-warlock meeting, opening up for quite a complicated relationship and story. Though I never actually finished, I did enjoy what I read and deemed it worthy of this list. The concept was something unlike anything I've previously read. And an added bonus was the forbidden love story between two hotmmen...well warlock and demon mage, kind of men. This read is one that is still in my personal list to finish, so don't hesitate on reading your fill, of this forbidden love story, between a warlock, and what is supposed to be his demon slave.

Cursed, mated, and in for the fight of their lives…
Warlock Nate Hawthorne just wants a cup of coffee. Is that too much to ask? Apparently. Because instead of precious caffeine, all he gets is cursed by a pack of werewolves who want to use him for his magic. Now the only way to fix the damage is a mate bond to a grumpy and oh-so-sexy alpha in the rival pack, who happens to hate him. This is so not how he wanted to start his day.
Ian Armitage never intended to take Nate as his mate. The Hawthorne family can’t be trusted. Ian knows that better than anyone. The fact that he’s lusted after the way-too-gorgeous man for years? Totally irrelevant[more..]
Personal Review: Warlock, Nate, is down on his luck. Running through the woods to escape his is kidnappers is the least of his problems. Finding himself in the need of help, his only likely savior wouldn't even piss on him if he was fire. Nate just wants coffee honestly. This was an entertaining and fun read, with an unexpected enemies to lovers romance. With a sarcastic, sass filled, warlock, and his moody werewolf love interest, the story just does not get boring. The duo is likely to have you rolling with laughter. You can't help but love the dynamic between the warlocks and the werewolves. It makes for a more entertaining read, because said warlock doesn't exactly have a proper handle on his magic. The story has a bit of mystery and some unexpected tragedy. Jump into this one, where alpha wolves and sassy warlocks cross swords. Quite literally. Don't miss out!!

She didn’t mean to use magic
She didn’t even know she HAD magic
She just wanted to save her brother, who was dying in her arms.
Accused of using illegal magic, and sentenced to a cruel death at the hands of the city’s guards, Hannah has no choice but to trust in the aid of a strange old man who wields unimaginable power.
The Founder has returned to correct the wrongs of unjust. But to do that, he needs Hannah, a young woman from the city slums. She has a key to unlocking a power even greater than his own--if she can only learn to trust herself and the magic flowing within her blood[more...]
Personal Review: What a read. What a fantastic piece of fiction. Irth is a world laid low by madness, until one man spreads his truth and his wisdom. Years past and he has taken on another student to fight against his previous one. Not exactly a witch no, Hannah is a Magician, then again, even that term is lax when it comes to her
power and potential! This book had to make it into the category of witches and warlocks. The protagonist's teacher, even has a wooden staff that helps him wield
his magic. Simply put, the teacher, and the changer of the world gives more sage like
warlock than anything else. It is a read filled with action and magic, of tragedy and the strive for justice and revenge. I was captured by this read, entranced by the world building and the art of it all. It is now firmly in my top five favorite reads. Don't miss out on this one, just because our lovely protagonist isn't an actual witch, she's just called one by the worse of her enemies.
